Kristin, So enjoy your site and was so sorry to read about Axel's passing. The video was wonderful. I know what you are going through having lost a very much-loved dog myself. There is a saying that goes something like this: "With every dog I lose, a piece of my heart goes with him. With each new dog, I am given a piece of his heart. Pretty soon my heart will be all dog and I will be the better person because of it." Please know our thoughts are with you.

I am just starting to learn and fall in love with this breed and reading about Axel has given me pause. I am sorry for your loss, would you do it differently though, if you knew ahead of time? Probably not. I am a HS teacher who recently lossed one of my special students and at her wake I said to those gathered that the temptation would be to insulate yourself and try and love a little less but then you would miss out on meeting and loving the ones so full of life. As a total stranger I apologize if I have intruded on something personal but your experience reminded me of my student.

Such a beautiful, sweet boy, and such a tragedy to hear of his loss. You were blessed and enriched to have had him in your life, as he was, to have shared his life with you, Kristin. I am so sorry for your loss and your sadness. Mary Ann Geary

Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you today (as I have everyday since Axel passed). Reading about him and seeing his pictures will never get old! What a wonderful life he had, but what a terrible thing he went through. I have definitely learned this breed can and will break your heart at some point. How is it that Swissies are so addicting?

Unfortunately, I had to take a break for about a month due to a muscle tear in my calf (a nagging injury that started in September and continued to get worse). Promised my Mom that I would rest it for real and allow it to heal :)

This past weekend I felt comfortable enough to try it out again, and it held up! So we will start showing again, although now with the holidays approaching the shows are somewhat limited. I am really looking forward to 2010 and having some fun with Visa, Willi and Maybell.

I have noticed a sudden barrage of questions being posted here. As this really isn't a discussion forum, and I sometimes forget to check it, I just cannot answer questions here. And sometimes it may not be appropriate to. If you would like information, to know more about my dogs, etc. please don't hesitate to e-mail me at yoohooguru@aol.com.

Thanks!

We were just wondering if you would be breeding Moxie to Bowie again any time soon?

We have had so much fun following the birth and development of Moxie's pups. Are you keeping one? I don't know how you can part with any of them. We've all been big Maybell fans from the beginning (what do we know though -- we just think she's really, really cute!)

This is such an educational and informative website, and it is so evident how much you love your dogs and how passionate you are about what you do. Keep up the great work.
