Denver is our beautiful young Bowie son, out of Pam and Ron Capelli's "Jura" (Ch. Breezy Ridge Cremant Du Jura CD). More than any of his offspring to date, Denver truly is the "Baby Bowie" and has been from the time he made his entrance into this world.
Like his father, Denver is blessed with beautiful breed type, a gorgeous head, lovely coat and a sound, athletic body. He is, however, an improvement upon his dad in two ways -- wtih his lovely neck and his very well angulated rear, which gives him a beautiful, powerful sidegait. Denver has always been a very "together" puppy, growing so nicely and steadily, always maintaining the appearance of a little adult (as opposed to a gangly puppy). He got off to a fantastic start in the show ring, taking a 4 point major at just 6 months of age. He finished his championship in grand style, by taking WD/BOW for a 5 point major at the Chesapeake & Potomac GSMD Club supported entry, just four days after his first birthday. Just two weeks later, he thrilled us all with his Best In Sweepstakes win at the GSMDCA National Specialty in North Carolina under breeder judges Barbara Martinez.
Denver is now taking some time off from the show ring to mature and "grow up" while he works on his obedience and drafting training wtih his breeders Ron and Pam Capelli in Texas. As he has taken after his father in this first year of his life, hopefully he will pay tribute to his mother's legacy when he adds some titles to the back end of his name.
